Yesterday was one of my favorite holidays. For years Dj (my son) and I head over to Centennial park in Beaconsfield to spend the day. Yesterday with temps over 30 degrees it was a beautiful day and a hot one. Activities are plentiful and entertainment goes on throughout the day.
My usual routine includes the Christ Church BBQ lunch with my son followed by their famous strawberry shortcake. I just love it. I have to have it every year without fail. I am gluten intolerant so I have to balance my intake and save up all my credits just to enjoy this scrumptious treat.
I spent the rest of the day with my cenotaph heroes selling border stones. These are the stones that will line the walkway to the cenotaph come the fall. It is a beautiful project and I am honored to be part of it. If you wish to learn more about the project check out their site www.heroespark.org
